The Prayer of Confession
Unison:
O Lord, You are our Father, and we are but dust; You are our Creator, and we are the work of Your hands; You are our Shepherd, and we are Your flock; You are our Redeemer, and we are the people You have purchased with Your own blood; You alone are our God, and we are Your inheritance.
Therefore, forgive us for our transgressions and do not deal with us according to our sin, but discipline us as sons and daughters. Correct us gently in Your lovingkindness. Be mindful that Your name is upon us, and that we bear Your mark and badge. Undertake the work You have already begun in us by Your grace, so that the whole earth may recognize that You are our God and Savior.
We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
