§ The Prayer of Adoration and Confession (Unison)
Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil;
For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
The Assurance of Pardon (Unison)
Psalm 32:1-2
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Question #12-15
Leader: According to God’s righteous judgment we deserve punishment both now and in eternity: how then can we escape this punishment and return to God’s favor?
People: God requires that His justice be satisfied. Therefore the claims of this justice must be paid in full, either by ourselves or by another.
Leader: Can we make this payment ourselves?
People: Certainly not. Actually, we increase our debt every day.
Leader: Can another creature—any at all—pay this debt for us?
People: No. To begin with, God will not punish any other creature for what a human is guilty of. Furthermore, no mere creature can bear the weight of God’s eternal wrath against sin and deliver others from it.
Leader What kind of mediator and deliverer should we look for then?
People: One Who is a true and righteous human, yet more powerful than all creatures, that is, One Who is also true God.

Hebrews 13:20-21
Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
